GroupcallAn exciting new service is now available for parents and carers to share information with you about your child’s school life and ensure communication between the school and yourselves is easier and more effective.

This service replaces the SIMS Learning Gateway which will no longer be in use.

Groupcall Xpressions includes an app that you can download free of charge and can be installed on your mobile phone or tablet. It supports both Apple iOS and Android devices (with Windows mobile to follow).

App

Information that you receive through the app will help you to stay up to date with your child’s school life as well as support your child’s development and progress.

If you have children in different schools and those schools also use Groupcall Xpressions, you will be able to view information on multiple children within the same app.

What do I need to do now?

Please ensure we have your correct mobile number and email address on our school database to enable you to use this service. If you are already receiving emails and texts from the school, then you will be able to set up an account.

However, if you do not yet receive emails and/or text messages from the school, please ensure that you update the contact details we hold on record for you emailing them to office@whitmore.harrow.sch.uk. You’ll need to make sure you keep these details up-to-date in future to maintain access to the service.

What happens next?

Once installed and set up you will be able to see some or all of the following information depending on what is held on the school’s system:

  • Your child’s timetable
  • Your child’s attendance and statistics
  • Your child’s behaviour and achievement records
  • Your child’s exam timetable
  • Your child’s assessment and progress statistics
  • The school calendar – containing published events and important dates.

This is all at no cost to you. It’s FREE to use and saves the school money.

Please note: the school will be switching to Groupall for all messaging (i.e. texts, emails, app notifications) from January 1st 2018.

How can I log in?

With Xpressions, there is no need to register for an account - this has been done for you by the school. Simply log in using the email address & mobile number your school has on record. Click here to get help signing into Xpressions.

How secure is the Xpressions app?

In short; it’s highly secure, just like your bank or other apps used for sensitive information. When you set up your account, you have to use the email address and mobile telephone number that you have already given the school before you are allowed access.

Information sent to your app is encrypted and can only be read by a system with a valid set of credentials to read that data. However, it’s your responsibility to ensure your login details remain confidential. If you believe your password or PIN code is compromised, you should change it straight away.

Can I use my login on multiple devices?

Yes. Simply download the app to any supported devices and login!

You should make sure you can control access to any devices on which you install the app; make sure you balance convenience with security and log out of any devices that you don’t use regularly.
