Masterclasses in Engineering at Brunel University
Attending these masterclasses was an amazing experience. Normally, on Saturday I 
would be watching Netflix but for five weeks I attended these sessions and found it to be a great experience of learning and acquiring knowledge. On arrival, the first week, we were supplied with a lanyard, a personal ID card, notebook and pen, to use during the five sessions of the course. Refreshments were also available during the whole day.
During one session we made an aerodynamic car. All the teams raced their cars to see which would go fastest and furthest. The workshop was organised by the ‘Bloodhound’ company, and was run by 
the professionals from the company. They also shared with us what it is like to work at their company which was very inspiring and motivational. The whole session demonstrated the importance of studying STEM subjects, and how they can be used in real life.
I would definitely recommend the course to other students.
Thank you very much to Ms Bharadawa and the Mathematics Department for providing us with this amazing opportunity.

This was an educational and fun course to attend. It ran on Saturday mornings from the 2nd of November 2019 for five weeks. The classes were for school students wanting to know more about engineering.
The activities included racing rocket cars, learning about different DNA strands, coding and soldering and many more. In the final week parents watched the students give a presentation on what they had learned. Prizes and awards were handed out for the best work.
